Nelly
is still among the rappers in the world of single celebrities.Over
the holiday break, rumors spread that the St. Louis rapper had been engaged to
girlfriend Ashanti, but the rapper has dispelled the notion. Nelly
and Ashanti are not headed to the wedding altar, a publicist at Universal Records
told AllHipHop.com on behalf of the artist. The
pair were supposedly engaged over the Christmas holiday according to a number
of blogs and rumor sites. While
there are no upcoming nuptials, Nelly is working on his next album that will have
him working with "some surprising people." In
addition to his own career, Nelly is also guiding the path of a young soul singer
named Avery Storm. Nelly’s
unnamed sixth album is expected to drop later this year.
