New York radio

station Power 105.1 will debut "The Ed Lover Show with Egypt & Ashy"

tomorrow (Mar. 1), from 6-10 am. Ed, who has been with the station since it launched

in Mar. of 2002, will hit the airwaves as the station celebrates it’s fifth anniversary.

Power 105.1 hopes that Ed Lover can boost the station’s morning show, which has

seen listenership fall since the departure of shock jock Star, who was fired after

he made lewd comments about the 4-year-old son of DJ Envy and racially charged

comments about Envy’s wife. Ed Lover’s start date will coincide with the station’s

fifth anniversary. "Ed has been a part of the heart and soul of this radio

station since day one when Power 105.1 launched five years ago," said Helen

Little, Power 105’s Program Director. "By pairing him with Egypt & Ashy,

listeners will be treated to more unpredictable dysfunctional fun from the unique

chemistry created by this dynamic trio." Ice

Cube will star in and produce a new urban comedy titled First Sunday. According

to Daily Variety, the comedy centers Ice Cube and another character who

attempt to rob a church. They take the parishioners hostage and during the course

of the film, Cube and his side kick slowly convert and change their ways. Filming

for the film starts May 14 in Los Angeles and Baltimore. The movie is a joint

venture between Ice Cube’s Cube Vision and The Firm. The pair last collaborated

on Ice Cube’s last album, Laugh Now, Cry Later. First Sunday is

slated to be released during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday via Screen Gems.According

to reports, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is being investigated for allegedly

assaulting a real estate broker in Los Angeles, CA, during an Oscar party. Gerard

Rechnitzer, 27, claims that he was at Teddy’s at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood

and noticed Combs and six other men speaking to his fiancee. According to Rechnitzer,

Combs then invited his fiancee to come to a party he was having. Rechnitzer protested

and asked his fiancee to leave with him again and Combs then allegedly struck

Rechnitzer in the jaw. Rechnitzer dialed 911 and an ambulance came, but Combs

allegedly left before police arrived. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating

the incident and interviewing witnesses.
