Talib

Kweli, former Yo! MTV Raps VJ Fab Five Freddy and rapper Pharoahe Monch

will share their experiences in the world of music videos through a one-day class

called The Art of Music Video Directing taking place today (Mar. 26). Fab

Five Freddy and Pharoahe Monch will teach inner city students from New York’s

public schools, as part of Music Nation’s new partnership with Working Playground

for the nonprofit organization’s Master Class series. The

Art of Music Video Directing is one of two classes offered in the series. The

other class, titled Spoken Word Lyricism, will be taught by critically-acclaimed

rapper Talib Kweli. The

series provides an opportunity for youth to further their interest in the arts

by learning the art of the music video from some of Hip-Hop’s most respected

names. Both

courses will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at New Design High School, 350 Grand

Street, 4th Floor (Between Broome and Ludlow) in New York.
