Rapper LL Cool J will play the Redstripe Reggae Sumfest after all, representatives for the rapper confirmed with AllHipHop.com today (June 11).

Last week organizers announced that LL Cool J would join the likes of Mary J. Blige, Elephant Man, Lady Saw, Beenie Man and Cham during the 15th Annual festival, which takes place July 15-21 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

A statement was released by organizers on Friday (June 8), stating that LL Cool J was canceling his appearance and the rest of the dates on his summer tour, including the Essence Music Festival, which takes place in New Orleans July 5-7.

While LL Cool J’s management has confirmed the Reggae Sumfest date, the rest of the tour dates have been canceled due to an unspecified family matter.

According to the official Reggae Sumfest website, LL Cool J is slated to perform July 20.
