Underground rap label Duck Down Records is giving music lovers a reason to enjoy the summer with a trio of free concerts featuring rap groups Black Moon and Smif-N-Wessun.

With our upcoming release schedule and active touring dates it’s a testament to our current momentum and sustained longevity in the game,” Duck Down Records’ CEO Dru Ha told AllHipHop.com. “Boot Camp Clik appreciates the opportunity to perform in our hometown of New York City and to be a part of free shows in the community. The catalog goes on for days.”

 

The first event kicked off last night (July 18) with a concert featuring Black Moon and Sean Price at Brower Park, in Brooklyn, NY.

 

Smif-N-Wessun and Dead Prez will hit the stage next on July 24, during a show at Red Hook in Brooklyn.

 

The show, which begins at 7 p.m., is part of the CityParks Concerts, which is presented by the City Parks Foundation.

The final Duck Down concert will feature Black Moon and Scarface at the Canal Room in New York City.

Black Moon’s DJ Evil Dee will provide music for the event, which will be hosted by MTV personality Sway and BET’s DJ Kelly G.

 

The Olde English-sponsored concert will celebrate the unveiling of a new can from popular beverage maker.

 

Sean Price and Uncle Ralph McDaniels will judge the winning can design during the event, which takes place at 9 p.m. July 26.

 

Those planning to attend the show must RSVP.

 

The summer outings coincide with the release of Price’s new mixtape, Master P,on July 24 and Black Moon’s upcoming album Casualties of War,which is scheduled to hit stores on Aug. 14.

 

Smif-N-Wessun is currently working on its forthcoming release, The Album, which is slated to hit stores Oct. 9.
