AllHipHop.com presents the 4th Annual Social Lounge, a unique, round table style debate featuring some of the most brilliant minds Hip-Hop culture has ever produced.

 

This event is open to the public and free to attend on a first come first serve basis up to the legally allowed capacity

 

(New York, NY – September 10, 2007): The 4th Annual AllHipHop Social Lounge will take place on September 19, 2007 at Pace University in New York, NY.

 

The Social Lounge is a signature event produced by AllHipHop that engages a variety of celebrities and rappers in intelligent, educational dialog, in a public setting. The audience participates as well, asking the artists key questions relevant to the Hip-Hop community.

 

This year’s Social Lounge features Dr. Cornel West, radio personality Wendy Williams, Hip-Hop mogul Master P. and rapper/activist David Banner. Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur, AllHipHop.com’s Co-founder/CEO, will host this year’s event.

Dr. Cornel West – Dr. Cornel West is a world renowned intellectual and Ivy League professor hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Formerly a professor at Harvard University, West is currently a professor of Religion at Princeton. West, who enrolled in Harvard at the age of 17 – and graduated three years later – is also an accomplished rapper. He has released several critically acclaimed albums, including his latest effort Never Forget, A Journey of Revelations. The album touches on 9/11, president Bush and race relations in the United States.

 

Wendy Williams – Wendy Williams is heard by millions of listeners around the country on her top rated radio show, The Wendy Williams Experience. Williams, who has over 20 years of experience in radio, has interviewed a who’s who of celebrities and rappers during the years. The self-proclaimed “Queen Of All Media” hosts her own television show. She has also released several books, including her autobiography, Wendy’s Got the Heat.

 

Master P – Master P. recently made history by being the only rapper to attend Oprah Winfrey’s fundraiser for Barack Obama. Master P., who founded No Limit Records in Y, has sold over 80 million records. Master P., who is one of the richest moguls in Hip-Hop, also recently renounced gangsta rap and no longer uses profanity in his lyrics. Master P recently launched Take A Stand Records, a new label he co-owns with his son, actor/rapper Romeo. Take A Stand Records releases profanity free albums and singles. Master P. also recently released an inspirational book titled Guaranteed Success.

 

David Banner – Mississippi rapper David Banner has been the most outspoken rapper on behalf of Hip-Hop over the past two years. In addition being a platinum-plus producer and rapper, David Banner also helps raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina via his non-profit, Heal The Hood. Banner is has also been an outspoken critic of Reverend Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Oprah Winfrey and others. He is preparing a new album, The Greatest Story Ever Told.
