Boot Camp Clik members Smif N Wesson are gearing up for the release of their fourth studio project The Album.

The Duckdown Records release, which is the follow up to the group’s 2005 effort Reloaded, features production from Ken Ring, Tommy Tee, Rune Rotter, Joell Ortiz and Soul Theory.

A highlight on the album is a cameo appearance from Heltah Skeltah member Rock, who is featured with Ortiz on the The Album’s lead single “Stomp Thru”.

The project is the latest offering from Smif N Wessun members Teck and Steele.

The duo, who made their recording debut on Black Moon’s 1993 album Enta Da Stage, is best known for their hit singles “Sound Bwoy Buriel”, “Stand Strong”, and “Bucktown.”

In addition to their Boot Camp Clik brethren, Smif N Wesson has worked various artists such as Tupac Shakur, M.O.P., Mobb Deep, Talib Kweli and Aaliyah.

For their new project, the group spent three weeks recording songs in Sweden in an effort to reinvent their sound.

The Album, which is described as a personal reflection of Smif N Wesson’s experiences in the music industry, is slated to hit stores Oct. 23.
