Wu-Tang Clan rapper Ghostface Killah will take an animated route to his fans as he headlines the Adult Swim Hip-Hop tour.

 

The 12-campus outing, which kicks off Oct. 1 at the State University of New York campus in Albany, will also feature Southern rap veteran Witchdoctor.

 

In addition to attaining fame as a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Ghostface Killah (born Dennis Coles) has released six critically-acclaimed albums.

 

In 2006, The Def Jam Records artist collaborated with fellow rapper MF Doom to produce a forthcoming album.

 

A member of Atlanta’s Dungeon Family collective, Witchdoctor has appeared on several albums, including releases from OutKast and Goodie Mob.

 

The rapper will release his new album Diary of an American Witchdoctor Oct. 23 on Adult Swim’s Williams Street record label.

 

The Hip-Hop tour is one of two nationwide treks put on by Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s popular late-night programming block for young adults.

 

The Adult Swim heavy metal tour will begin on October 29 with headliner And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead.

 

Dethklok, the heavy metal band from Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse television series, will be the opening act on the 12-campus trek.
