Will Smith’s career was honored in Hollywood yesterday (December 10), when the superstar rapper/ actor left an imprint of his hands and feet outside of the world-renowned Grauman’s Chinese Theater, on Hollywood Blvd.

 

Smith, decked out in a slick grey suit, beat boxed in front of hundreds of screaming fans, including actor Tom Cruise, who was on hand watch the induction ceremony.

 The rapper’s prints are now featured alongside icons like Sidney Poitier, Marilyn Monroe, Tom Hanks, Shirley Temple, Eddie Murphy and hundreds of other actors and actresses.

 

Smith, 39, was honored for his box-office success in several blockbuster films, including Ali, Independence Day, Men In Black and The Pursuit of Happyness.

 

Smith, his two children and the family dog were present, while his wife Jada Pinkett Smith missed the ceremony due to a prior business obligation.

 

The induction outside of Grauman’s Chinese Theater comes as Smith prepares for the opening of his latest movie, I Am Legend.

 

I Am Legend, which hits theaters Friday, tells the story of scientist Robert Neville, who is alone on Earth due to a virus that has wiped out most of the planet’s population.
