Atlanta rapper Yung Joc was released from an Cuyahoga County, Ohio jail yesterday (December 24) on $50,000 bond, after being arrested for allegedly carrying a gun through an airport security checkpoint.

 

Yung Joc was arrested on December 23, after security found a fully loaded firearm and ammunition in his carry on luggage, as he attempted to pass through screeners at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

 

The rapper was charged with a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon and may be charged under the Air Piracy Act.

 

Yung Joc, born Jasiel Robinson, will make a mandatory court appearance tomorrow (December 26) in Cleveland Municipal Court.

 

According to police, Yung Joc claimed he didn’t know that the gun or ammunition was in his bag and maintained his innocence through his attorney, Stanley Jackson.

 

 “Yung Joc maintains his innocence and asks for privacy while he addresses these allegations,” Jackson said.
