Since Earth Day is coming quick, April 22 for those that

don’t know, I thought it would be cool to show a few earth friendly gadgets.

The problem with a lot of electronics is when we’re done with them, we throw

them away. They end up in land fills, and a lot of the circuit boards and

components don’t break down.  A company

call ATP says it doesn’t have to be

that way.

They are releasing the Earth Drive

or what they call “the world’s first bio-recyclable USB drive.”  No word on price yet, but can you put a price

on a healthy planet?

At first glance, Philips’ Eco TV

($1400) looks like any other 42-inch LCD, but when you check out the specs, you

can see it’s a lil’ bit more.

Features:

·   75 watts of power consumption and 0.15 watts in

standby

·

Backlight dimming feature (not only saves power

but improves black levels and picture)

·

Made of lead free material, and contains only

trace levels of mercury

·

Comes in a box made of recycled materials

The last earth friendly toy I want

to show you is still a concept, but may be a reality in the near future.  It’s the Dodge Zeo.  The four-passenger sport wagon was designed

for not only the eco-conscious, but the speed freak as well.

Features:

·

All-electric, lithium-ion battery power motor

·

250 miles between charges

·

0-60 miles per hour in under six seconds

If you’d like to see what the next generation of muscle cars will be like,

look no further than the 2008 Dodge ZEO Concept.

That’s all I’ve got for now, but feel free to make request and let me know

what types of things you wanna see. And by the way, try to add a little green

to your life!
