While the wait is over for all you Sex and the City fans that were drooling to see four of America’s best dressed ladies on the silver screen, we can’t forget the chick flick had a soundtrack laced with a few pop stars and R&B songstresses. One in particular is Ciara, who delivers the song “Click, Flash” highlighting how she feels – pretty, picture perfect, and beautiful when she’s out and about and photographers are calling her name to take her photograph. The song isn’t on the film’s retail soundtrack, but plays in the movie during a pivotal scene where the lead role of Carrie Bradshaw is having a truly fabulous moment musically captured by Ciara. While the song is fitting for the movie and is sweet and upbeat just like CiCi, its sound exemplifies a song we’ve all heard before, “Glamorous” by The Black Eyed Peas’ leading lady Fergie, who is ironically on the soundtrack as well. Written by Rico Love who also provided the background vocals and production along with Salaam Remi, here’s a piece of advice for you guys, be a little more original next time you craft a song, and if you chose to copy someone else’s blueprint strive to make it HOTTER!! Until next week, y’all enjoy this week’s Sunday Selection – “Click, Flash”.
