Cam’ron Proclaims No Dipset Reunion

Cam’ron has emphatically ended the hopes that fans had for a musical reunion of The Dipomats, the Harlem-based group he founded.

“I’m not doing the Diplomat album. I’m not rhyming with Jim or Juelz or nothing. I wish them all the best of luck,” he said. “Accept it, people, its not happening. I’m not doing it.”

Jim Jones told New York radio station Hot 97 that wanted to see the group record again.

“For the most part I’ve been selfish about a lot of things this past year,” Jones said. “I’m just extending my hand to the contribution of getting this Diplomat business done. If Cam’ron is listening, maybe we could sit down to get some business together and give the people what they want.”

Cam’s bold proclamation is a very different notion than a recent interview with AllHipHop.com, where he stated the right compensation could make the reunion happen.

Cam’ron also stated that he was forming new artists in his organization.

“I got different artists. I don’t really want to say their names, because we’re in the process of doing paperwork and I’m not a person who counts their chickens before they hatch,” Cam’ron told AllHipHop.com. “But it’s about to be something that’s about to pop off real major, it’s gonna be hot.”

As for the reunion with Juelz Santana and Jim Jones, Cam’ron tells fans to wipe the thought from their minds.

“Cam is doing Cam. I’m not doing Diplomatic Immunity 3 album. I’m not doing it. Stop dreaming. Stop wishing. Stop hoping. Stop imagining.”
