Rapper Bow Wow will help kick off the NCAA’s Final Four weekend as part of the NCAA’s community driven Hoop City program.

Bow Wow will perform at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (April 4), as part of the schedule of events for Hoop City, which allows fans to participate in basketball clinics, performances, prizes and more.

The rapper will sign autographs and giveaway copies of his new CD New Jack City II, which hit stores today (March 31).

Hoop City runs from April 3-6 and is sponsored by Coca-Cola and AT&T.

Tickets are free for children two and under, while adults must pay $8 dollars.

“Hoop City will be packed with fun and activities for all ages, providing NCAA basketball fans with an inside look at the Final Four and the various other NCAA sports,” said Greg Shaheen, NCAA senior vice president of basketball and business strategies. “Metro Detroiters and visitors can share in celebrating this historic basketball weekend even if they don’t have a ticket to the games.”

NCAA Hoop City will launch with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:00 AM on Friday (April 3), followed by a celebrity basketball game featuring a who’s-who of Detroit media.
