The rising career of AllHipHop.com Breeding Ground alumni Wale will be chronicled on a new episode of the BET series Rising Icons.
Rising Icons was created by Grey Goose Entertainment and BET.
The series, which features artists like Kid Cudi, Melanie Fiona, The Dream and Ryan Leslie, features each artist on the road, in front of cameras and on the stage.
The rapper, born Olubowale Victor Akintimeh, recently confirmed a high profile performance during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 13 in New York.
Wale will be joined by renown D.C. Go-Go veterans, The UnCalled 4 Band and will perform with the group in between performances, award presentations and commercial breaks.
Wale is currently planning the release of his album Attention Deficit, which is due in stores this October.
The episode of Rising Icons featuring Wale is slated to air this Monday (August 31) at 12:00 AM.
