50 Cent will have a starring role in the upcoming film Dead Man Running, which is due in theaters October 30th. The movie is set in London and stars 50 Cent as “Thigo,” a New York based loan shark who gives an ex-con 24-hours to come up with the $100,000 he owes. The movie also stars Danny Dyer,, Monet Mazur, Brenda Blethyn and Tamer Hassan.

 

R&B singer O’Neal McKnight and Oakland rapper Too Short are hosting a secret pool party and video shoot for the upcoming single “Throw It Back” today. The video is being shot by Caleesh “Leesh Luger” Lewis, who has directed videos for Raekwon, B-Real, Nipsey Hussle and others. The video is being shot at a secret location in Simi Valley, California. McKnight is putting the final touches on his album, which includes production by Scram Jones and Phoenix.

 

Three 6 Mafia has shuffled the release date for their upcoming album Laws of Power. The group’s new album will hit stores on November 24. Laws of Power is Three 6’s first release since 2008’s Last 2 Walk, which contained the group’s#### single “Lolli Lolli (Pop That Body).” Laws of Power features production by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, as well as Juicy “J” and D.J. Paul. “Shake My,” the first single from the album, went on sale today (September 15).

 

Atlanta rapper Bobby Ray has announced he will be joining Shwayze on the “Get U Home Tour,” which kicks of September 23rd at the House of Blues in Chicago. Bobby Ray will hit the tour in support of his upcoming album B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which will hit stores on Rebel Rock Entertainment, a label owned by super-producer Jim Jonsin that’s distributing the release via Grand Hustle/Atlantic. The majority of The Adventures of Bobby Ray was produced by the rapper himself, as he learned to play multiple instruments, including the piano, the trumpet and the French horn. “I just want to show people that there are endless possibilities of what you can do,” Bobby Ray said. “You don’t just have to be a rapper, you don’t just have to be a trapper; you can be anything you want to be and whatever you do, just love it and it will show.”
