Yonkers, New York-bred rapper DMX has had a run of bad luck over the past year or so, but he’s back in the lab preparing to release new music for his fans by any means necessary.

 

“I’m putting out a Gospel album and a Hip-Hop album.”I’m trying to put it out this year, if I gotta leak it myself I’m going to put it out,” X told AllHipHop.com. His new efforts are highly anticipated amongst his fans due to the fact that the last album, Year of the Dog….Again,  was released three years ago.

 

Although DMX has been away from the Hip-Hop scene, his name has been in news headlines for his run ins with the law.

 

The rapper was arrested several times last year for charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, animal cruelty and identity theft.  

In related new, DMX recently squashed his beef with rapper Ja Rule at the sixth annual “VH1 Hip-Hop Honors.” X’s manager, Nakia Walker, told AllHipHop.com, “He has a new attitude, a new team. He looks good and now he is squashing beefs. His performances are breathtaking.”

DMX recently made an appearance at the VH1 event honoring Def Jam where the group Gym Class Heroes joined him on stage to perform his hit single “Party Up.”

 

Other performers at the event included Ja Rule, Eminem, Black Thought, Trey Songz, Warren G, Ghostface Killah and Chrisette Michele, among others.
