Grand Hustle CEO Jason Geter addressed an incident yesterday (November 19) at the label’s offices, where two Molotov cocktails were found. Geter told MTV News that someone had town a 40-ounce bottle at the office, causing an alarm to go off around 2:30-3:00 am yesterday morning. According to Geter, they believe an aspiring artist was responsible for tossing the firebombs at the building. “A kid came over there a couple of days ago that acted kind of crazy,” Geter told MTV News. “I wasn’t there, but some kid that was a little off was pretty much asking for somebody to come to his party. He got a little irate when he was in the office. We’re kind of assuming it was him. He made a couple of threats when he was in the office. Two days later, this happens. You can’t help but say, ‘It must have been this idiot.’ ” Grand Hustle is preparing to release Young Dro’s new album P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once).

Black Sheep member Dres has announced two brand new projects that will be released over the next several months. Group member Dres is preparing to release the album From the Black Pool of Genius, his first whole length since 2006. Before the album hits stores, the rapper will release From the Black Pool of Genius: The Prelude, which is a five-song EP that will be released on December 1st. “I once heard a poet say that ‘hip hop backward is ‘pih poh (people)’- the way I see it, many artists are a lot more Hip-Hop than they ever realized. I would dare to say that any artist over time, regardless of genre, that makes music for the ‘pih poh’… is Hip-Hop.” The full length album From the Black Pool of Genius is due in stores in the spring of 2010.
