(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lupe Fiasco was among the artists, musicians and philanthropists who reached the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s largest free standing mountain.

Lupe Fiasco was joined by Kenna, Isabel Lucas, Jessica Biel, Santigold, Emile Hirsch, Elizabeth Gore, Alexandra Cousteau, Kick Kennedy, Simon Isaacs, Bernise Ang, Michael Muller, Jimmy Chin, Melissa Arnot and Dr. Greg Allgood.

The climbers spent six days hiking and climbing the mountain. They set out for their final trek around 1:30 AM local time.

About seven hours later, they reached the Uhuru peak of the mountain.

“The thrill of conquering your fears especially in such a physically and mentally taxing environment can’t really be done justice in words,” Lupe Fiasco said in a statement.

Millions of people followed the climbers during their week long, 50 mile journey on www.summitonthesummit.com, a website dedicated to raising awareness about the global clean water crisis.

Viewers watched as participants scaled the mountain, while coping with climate conditions that ranged from hail and snow, to the effects of the 12,000-foot altitude, which can cause fatigue, dizziness and headaches.

“The last 48 hours have been the most intense and physically grueling experience of my life, miraculously we all made it to the top together,” Emile Hirsch added. “To have such a complete success for such a worthwhile cause – the global clean water crisis – more than reaching the summit is what is really satisfying ”

Ethiopian born, Grammy nominated musician and philanthropist Kenna was the mastermind behind the concept of Summit on the Summit.

He was grateful that each participant made it to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

“Even with as many grandiose illusions that I have had, this has gone beyond my wildest dreams and expectations. The influencers, educators, staff, crew, and publicists have literally braved this on behalf of the world and in a personally meaningful way on behalf of my father.”
