(AllHipHop News) Troubled rapper DMX may be rescued by addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky, according to reports. DMX was busted for violating his probation by using cocaine. He was sent to jail on Tuesday (March 9th), where he is being held without bond until a hearing on March 16th. TMZ.com reports that DMX’s attorney Gary Jenkins was contacted by representatives for Celebrity Rehab, who may send a specialist to court in order to convince a judge to send him to rehab, instead of prison. Dr. Drew took the same steps with Jessica Sierra of American Idol fame.

Rapper T.I. will be home at the end of this month, after serving the remaining three months of a year-long prison stint in a halfway house. The Atlanta rapper, born Clifford Harris Jr., is slated to be released from an Atlanta area halfway house on March 26th. The remainder of his sentence will be served under house arrest, according to reports.

Popular New York radio personality DJ Envy has jumped into the technology market by launching a custom iPhone application. DJ Envy teamed with website/app developers Cariplex Corp. to develop the app, which features DJ Envy’s entire collection of mixtapes, streaming live video and exclusive video and audio content. On March 15th, DJ Envy will host an industry-only launch party at New York hotspot La Pomme to celebrate the launch of his app. DJ is currently a host of on Sirius’ Hip Hop Nation. =======
