The West Coast is on the rise again in ways unseen since the 1990’s. There is a plethora of acts coming through like Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Jay Rock, Nipsey Husslel and others. Then there is Game, the Compton-born monster lyricist. The upstart has finally transitioned into a veteran and his The R.E.D. Album should solidify his standing. However, with all of the positivity, there is another side. Ice Cube has taken note of the New West and made some not-so-flattering comments. Newer acts like Jay Rock have taken heed leaving the West Coast on the verge of Civil Rap War.
