(AllHipHop News) A rape charge against MC Hammer’s cousin Bigg Marv was officially dismissed last week according to prosecutors. Alameda County prosecutors dropped the rape charge against Marvin “Bigg Marv” Grant, a cousin of MC Hammer who appeared on the famous rapper’s A&E reality series Hammertime. Bigg Marv was accused of assaulting a 40-year-old woman he met through Twitter and later met in a Livermore hotel in July of 2009. The pair enjoyed a romantic dinner the evening in question, but when they went back to the woman’s hotel room, Bigg Marv allegedly pinned the woman to the bed against her will. MC Hammer, who has over a million followers, utilized his Twitter page to call the charges “pure nonsense” and expressed his thoughts on the arrest.Hammer insisted his cousin was innocent from the outset of the ordeal. “Thanks for your Prayers for Bigg Marv,” MC Hammer said. “He’s a good guy, he has not been exposed to the ‘World of Fame’ where you become ‘The Prey.’
