Lil Wayne was sentenced to three years of probation in Arizona after a plea deal was reached with prosecutors in regards to gun/charges related to a January 2008 arrest. Lil Wayne’s tour bus was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint near Yuma, Arizona. A drug sniffing dog uncovered over four ounces of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of the drug Ecstasy and a .40 caliber pistol. Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug, while the gun and other drug charges were tossed. Lil Wayne is serving a one-year prison sentence on Rikers Island, for attempted weapons possession, after drugs and a .40 caliber pistol was found in the rapper’s handbag. Rapper Snoop Dogg attempted to hire out the entire European country of Liechtenstein as the backdrop for a new video. Snoop] is in Europe touring and wanted to use Liechtenstein, which has a population of about 35,000 residents, but the deal fell through because city officials did not have enough time to accommodate the world famous rappers’ request. “We’ve had requests for palaces and villages but never one to hire the whole country before,” Liechtenstein property agent Karl Schwaerzler told The Daily Mirror. “It would have been possible. T-Pain will be featured in Anchor Blue’s new “Can You Rock with Anchor Blue?” advertising campaign. The west coast-retailer with 112 stores, will kick off the campaign starting in July for the back-to-school season. The rapper/singer/songwriter will review original submissions for the contest, with the grand prize winner ultimately having his or her song produced by T-Pain. “This is a great opportunity for me to work with some up-and-coming talent, while giving someone a head start in the music business,” says T-Pain. “I’m glad to be partnering up with Anchor Blue and Swag Like Us to make it happen.
