(AllHipHop News) Geto Boys rapper Bushwick Bill was in Atlanta Immigration Court yesterday (July 16th) where he is facing deportation to his native homeland of Jamaica. Rumors about Bushwick Bill’s status as a citizen in the United States was questioned shortly after the VH1 2010 Hip Hop Honors in June, after the pint-sized rapper missed a dedication to Rap-A-Lot Records’ founder, James Prince. As of press time, it is believed that Bushwick Bill was arrested and charged with a crime presumably “soliciting.” Atlanta’s Creative Loafing reports that the nature of the charges that prompted the deportation proceedings is not yet known. Bushwick Bill, born Richard Shaw, rose to fame as an original member of pioneering Hip-Hop group The Geto Boys. Additionally he has released six solo albums.Late last year, Bushwick Bill made his debut as a gospel artist with the release of his 2009 album The Testimony of Redemption.
