Actor Hugh Jackman Reveals Passion For Hip-Hop; “Real Steel” #1 At Box Office

ACTOR HUGH JACKMAN IS A HUGE HIP-HOP FAN! CHECK THIS OUT!

(AllHipHop News)Actor Hugh Jackman may be known for his roles in movies like “X-Men,” “Van Helsing” and the latest blockbuster “Real Steel,” but what most don’t know is that he’s a Hip-Hop fanatic.

During an interview with NextMovie.com, Hugh Jackman revealed that he was a fan of Hip-Hop music, in particular, Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and others.

The actor attended an Eminem concert with “Real Steel” director Shawn Levy and said the evening was “electrifying.”

“I think Eminem is extraordinary, and one of the greatest live acts I’ve ever seen,” Hugh Jackman told NextMovie. “I’m a real fan of live music, but if I go to a concert and I feel that I’m just getting their CD, basically, played for me, it bores me. I would prefer to just listen to it.”

According to Jackman, he attended a concert that featured performances by Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, where he observed the rappers from a backstage area.

“It was one of the most electrifying nights I’ve ever been a part of,” Huge Jackman said. “I was actually ushered to this area and I went behind the stage and just watching Dr. Dre get ready to go onstage, it was kind of like watching a prizefighter getting ready for a big fight. There’s just so much that they put in to every song. And Eminem, he’s just, oh my God, he’s just the consummate performer. A professional. And everything comes from an honest place. Comes from his heart. That’s what I like about him.”

More than a few fans feel the same about Hugh Jackman.

The action flick, which centers around a man who trains robots for a living, is #1 at the box office this weekend, after raking in over $27.3 million in the United States.
