EXCLUSIVE: CURREN$Y SPEAKS ON PROJECTS HE HAS IN THE WORKS WITH WIZ KHALIFA, CHUCK INGLISH, HARRY FRAUD AND MORE

(AllHipHop News) A little over a month after his first major release, The Stoned Immaculate, with Warner Bros. Records, Jet Life Recordings C.E.O. Curren$y dropped the Cigarette Boats EP with producer Harry Fraud.

On August 9, the three-year anniversary of his and Wiz Khalifa’s collaborative project, How Fly, the duo will give their follow-up, Live In Concert, to their fans for free as well, but that’s not all that the New Orleans native has up his sleeve.

During a sit down with AllHipHop.com at the Warner Music offices in New York City, Curren$y let loose a ton of information on a number of other solo material and collaborative projects that he has begun work on and is already planning to release such as Pilot Talk 3, Puff Daddy with producer Chuck Inglish, a second Cigarette Boats project with Harry Fraud and many more.

Having put out over 15 projects since 2009, and with a full plate of several more soon to drop, Curren$y compares his work ethic to a basketball player who’s just having fun.

“That’s work when it’s on TV but then they’re playing when they’re at their houses,” he told AllHipHop.com. “That’s all this is for me; I actually like to do this sh*t.”

In addition to speaking on what he has up his sleeve for the rest of 2012 and the work he did with Talib Kweli for a track on the soon-to-be-released Black Keys and Dame Dash project Blackroc 2, Curren$y revealed his desire to do an entire project with rapper, producer and friend Big K.R.I.T.

“Whenever he takes the time out to text me back man,” Curren$y told AllHipHop.com. “He’s so busy he forgot about his little brother, but I definitely want some f*cking old ’90s era sh*t. This is pretty much me asking you, just hit the jack, let’s clear some schedule time out and do that.”
