EXCLUSIVE: G.O.O.D. Girl Teyana Taylor Co-Signs “Cruel Winter”

EXCLUSIVE: TEYANA TAYLOR DISHES ON THE POSSIBILITY OF A “CRUEL WINTER”

(AllHipHop News) Riding high on the success of Cruel Summer, G.O.O.D. Music’s Teyana Taylor is currently in Atlanta shooting her third movie, The Start-Up.

The film, which will air on BET, is also a pilot for a forthcoming show on the network produced by the wildly-successful Salim and Mara Brock-Akil, the writer/producers behind “The Game”. The Start-Up stars Diggy Simmons as a lifestyle blogger, with Taylor portraying the twin sister of his best friend.

In a brief interview with Taylor about the film, she co-signed the Cruel Winter rumor sparked by Q-Tip on the red carpet at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, saying, “Well, I mean, Q-Tip don’t lie. If it’s been a Cruel Summer, it’s definitely gonna be a cruel, Cruel Winter. But you ain’t hear that from me.”

With three features on the crew’s recent release, Taylor also gushed about the success of the album.

“We came second to Pink, and that was her huge comeback. Number one on the Hip-Hop charts. So I’m very, very excited about that, and excited to have as many placements on there that I do. I’m very excited and blessed and thankful.”

In the meantime, Taylor is finishing her own debut album for G.O.O.D. Music.

“I’m turning in my album in January, so hopefully we can get something (a release date) a little after January,” she forecasted.
