(AllHipHop News) Two of the biggest brands in the country are linking up this summer. Hip-Hop station Hot 97 and soft-drink giant Pepsi presents Road To Summer Jam. The 8 episode internet docu-series will follow Hot 97’s program director Ebro Darden, marketing director Donyshia Benjamin, and host of The Rush Hour DJ Enuff as they prepare to bring Summer Jam XX to MetLife Stadium on Sunday, June 2nd.

Summer Jam is one of the biggest Hip-Hop events of the year. The annual day long concert showcases some of the leading rap and R&B stars in the business. Road To Summer Jam will provide insight into the behind-the-scenes details that goes into putting on such an expansive project.

Pepsi Pulse, the company’s pop culture interactive dashboard, named Summer Jam the #1 music festival to see this summer ahead of Governors Ball, SASQUATCH!, and five other international events.

Pepsi has been partnering with several urban acts over the last several years. In 2008, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Scott Storch created original ringtones for the “Cool Tones” promotion. Last year Nicki Minaj participated in the “Live For Now” global ad campaign which featured her single “Moment For Life”, and recently Beyoncé signed a reported $50 million deal with the company which includes her current “Mirrors” commercial.
