Respect the DJ: Core DJ’s Take Over the Palms in Vegas with 50 Cent and Others for MixShow Live Conference

If you are an artist and you are looking to get your record spun in the clubs and on radio, the DJ is key to getting your record hot. This year’s MixShow Live in Las Vegas, Nevada proved that, as influential DJs from around the world descended upon Las Vegas for 3 days filled with panels, workshops, showcases, listening suites and parties.

In conjunction with Atlanta-based AMG Records, We On Records, T.I.’s Akoo Clothing, Avion Tequila, Columbia Records, Epic Records, ItsMyURLs.com, Virdiko, Interscope/Geffen/AM, and Monster Products, it was clear by the end of the retreat, that the The Core DJs are one of the preeminent DJ coalitions in the world, and as such have a great ability to influence the world of Hip-Hop and R&B music.

Each event was standing room only, as the conference was at capacity each day, selling out the Palms Hotel.  Event highlights included AMG Records’ DJ Listening Suite sponsored by Avion Tequila and Akoo Clothing, the “Never Heard of You” Media Panel featuring AllHipHop’s own Jake Crates and Skyyhook, “An Evening With Interscope” hosted by Hit Boy. L.E.P Bogus Boys and Audio Push, and the “Artist Showcases” hosted by Virdiko, Tony Neal, and Bigga Rankin.  The biggest event of the conference was the Legendary DJ Round Table that featured performances by DJ Scratch, DJ Evil E, Mix Master Ice, and DJ Cash Money.

Not only were attendance, but several notable talents stopped by to support the growing conference. Among those present were 50Cent, Hit Boy, DJ Scratch, Drumma Boy, DJ Paul, L.E.P. Bogus Boys, Dorrough, AMG’s Young Snead and Baby D, Yo Gotti, and Trae tha Truth.  While the list of  celebs who participated in MixShow Live Vegas is lengthy, more are expected to appear in August as the MixShow Live has already announced it’s next conference in Atlanta August 8th-11th, 2013.
