(AllHipHop News) As part of celebrating the nation’s birthday, Wawa, VH1 and the city of Philadelphia have teamed up to the put together the Wawa Welcome America! Festival, billed as “The Largest Free Concert in America.”

Joined by Mayor Michael N#####, the city of Philadelphia will celebrate the 4th of July Jam with a host of artists including The Roots, John Mayer, Jill Scott, Demi Lovato, Neyo, Grace Potter and J. Cole. Also set to perform will be Ben Taylor, son of legendary folk rock artists James Taylor and Carly Simon, and several surprise guests. An additional performance will be by Marsha Ambrosious on July 6th at the Taste of Philadelphia.

“The City of Philadelphia is proud to welcome an incredibly talented group of musicians to our city this Fourth of July,” said Mayor N#####. “We believe that this year’s festival will go down in history as the best yet. We know that Philadelphia is the foremost place to celebrate our nation’s birthday. With this superb lineup of talent, we have an opportunity to prove it to the world.”

There will be many highlights from the festival, one of which will be the Adventure Aquarium Waterfront Fireworks Spectacular on July 6th after Marsha Ambrosious’ performance on July 6th

This year’s 2013 festival calendar looks to boost tourism by providing visitors with enticing reasons to stay in Philadelphia after the Fourth of July holiday.

Wawa Welcome America! is a multi-day festival that celebrates America’s birthday in America’s birthplace, Philadelphia. In 2013, Welcome America, Inc. is proud to celebrate 20 years as the producer of Philadelphia’s Fourth of July festival.
