Drake: I’m Literally Going To Light The VMA Stage Up

(AllHipHop News) The MTV Video Music Awards has a very extensive history of jaw dropping performances. From Michael Jackson’s 15-minute grandiose performance at the 1995 VMAs to the 2000 VMA’s Eminem-led march of Slim Shady clones, the VMA’s is where artists save their most daring performances. According to Drake, he’s ready to up the ante for this year’s ceremonies by taking his “Hottest Rapper” moniker literal with a pyrotechnic performance for the ages.

Drake recently spoke to MTV News about the details of his 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance hinting at bringing some fire to Barclays Center:

“We’re blowing the stage up, I got things going off, I had to test with the fire marshall and it’s gonna be good. I’ve been doing this for a while, pyro doesn’t scare me. You know I’m ready, if you’ve ever been on stage with Lil Wayne, he likes explosions and they’re loud you know, so I’m used to it.

Drake also revealed that he’ll be performing his two singles “Started From The Bottom” and “Hold On Were Almost Home”.
