Epic Fail of the Day: Man Steals Truck so he Can Get to Court For Car Theft on Time

A California man stole a truck so that he could get to his stolen vehicle court case on time.

A Redding, Calif. man admitted to stealing a truck on Thursday morning so that he could make his court date for an unrelated stolen vehicle case, reports KRCRTV.

It started when a 69-year-old man reported his 1989 Ford Ranger stolen. Eventually, Michael Heller, 21, the suspected thief was found driving the truck. Police said Heller admitted that he stole the truck because he needed a ride to court for an unrelated stolen vehicle case.

Heller was arrested for vehicle theft and possession of a stolen vehicle.
