PUSHA T ON KENDRICK LAMAR/MACKLEMORE GRAMMY DEBATE: YOU CAN RESPECT IT FROM EITHER WAY

One of those topics covered his next LP, King Push. The Clipse member has posted pictures of him working in the studio with The Neptunes for the project, but Pusha also reveals he has hooked up with some Miami producers as well.

“I was in Miami for a while so any producer that was done there I would try to link up with in between time with The Neptunes,” says Pusha. “It’s in the beginning stages, and I think everybody is going to be really happy with this album.”

Another album that Push addressed during his Q&A was Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. Pusha offered his opinion on the recent debate over whether K. Dot’s major label debut should have won the Best Rap Album Grammy over Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ The Heist.

“I think Kendrick had the best album to fall within that time frame, but it’s cool,” states Pusha. “Macklemore won, and I think Macklemore had one of the best grinds I think I’ve ever seen in music. It’s whatever. You can respect it from either way.”

Pusha also reveals his favorite song from his G.O.O.D. Music boss. It’s a track from Kanye West’s Graduation that he places at the top of his list.

“My favorite record from Kanye is ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’,” Pusha says. “That’s like one of the greatest songs to me.”
