PHARRELL’S FIRST CHILD’S NAMES WERE INSPIRED BY STEVIE WONDER AND ELTON JOHN SONGS

(AllHipHop News) When you are on such an unprecedented streak of peak creativity as Pharrell has been over the past decade-plus, you tend to have your personal life and work life intertwine in the mostul unexpected ways. According to Pharrell, part of his first born child identity came from two classic Elton John and Stevie Wonder songs.

While the prolific 40 year old producer did not name his son, Rocket Williams after songs word-for-word, he did tell BBC News that they helped inspire it:

Contrary to popular belief, Rocket’s middle name is not Man. But Elton John’s Rocket Man song was a part of it and also Stevie Wonder’s Rocket Love. But Elton would be really interesting.”

I would love to do a whole album with Stevie Wonder. That would be amazing. He doesn’t need me, but it’d be amazing.
