LA Clippers Head Coach Says Team Almost Boycotted Game Over Owner's Racist Comments

LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS HEAD COACH SAYS TEAM ALMOST BOYCOTTED GAME OVER OWNER’S RACIST COMMENTS

(AllHipHop News) Doc Rivers is one the most successful African American coaches in NBA history and he is also the Los Angeles Clippers’ head coach. Earlier this afternoon, Rivers responded to the Clippers’ owners’ racist comments for the first time.

According to Yahoo Sports writer Marc J. Spears, Rivers states the team is upset by Donald Sterling’s recent racist comments. According to Spears, Rivers states that players even considered boycotting the next game over the comments:

Magic Johnson has already announced that he and his family will no longer attend Clippers’ games as long as Sterling is the head coach. Clippers’ point guard, Chris Paul says an upcoming statement from the NBA Players Union will be the only response Clippers players will give. Paul is the President of the NBA Players Union.
