(AllHipHop News) While reps for Rich Homie Quan stated the Atlanta rapper’s hospitalization this week was the result of a fall caused by “exhaustion,” TMZ reports lean may have played a role in his medical issues.

According to the site, sources close to Quan say the 24-year-old entertainer was bingeing on lean for days prior to the incident. He then stopped drinking the codeine/promethazine liquid mixture about three days before he suffered seizures at a video shoot.
RHQ was taken to a local Atlanta hospital and later released. He tweeted he was “okay” and thanked his fans for their prayers.
Sources with AllHipHop’s rumors section offered a variation of the report with a twist.
According to those on set, the real sizzurp or lean was banned a few weeks ago so now in a dry market rappers are trying the red and yellow versions of lean which users say is much different than the purp. Also people are lacing the lean with prescription pills so it’s a potent mixture that can cause more serious risks.
