(AllHipHop News) Jay Z is sharing the love all over New York City. Less than a week after shocking the world and performing at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, Jay Z decided to call in to Angie Martinez’s show on during her first day on Power 105.1.
Today (July 17th) was the first day Angie Martinez has done her radio show on a station other than Hot 97 in over 15 years. To commemorate the day, Jay Z called in and congratulated Martinez and discussed her future after making the switch:
I really believe that what you are about to accomplish in the next phase of your life will dwarf everything that you’ve ever done. Because, that’s what people that are great do. You’re not termed the voice of New York for no reason. You’re an instituion in radio. That’s a special feat to accomplish.
Earlier on the show, Martinez hinted that one of her first on-air guests will be P. Diddy. Diddy’s Revolt TV broadcasts Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club video portion.
