Nelly Reality Show Headed To BET

NELLY TO STAR IN BET REALITY SHOW FEATURING HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH MAYWEATHER’S EX SHANTEL JACKSON

(AllHipHop News) St. Louis representative Nelly is extending his presence on television. He is already a regular on the fake reality show Real Husbands of Hollywood, and now the “Hot In Herre” rapper will be appearing on a real reality show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, BET has picked up an unscripted program starring Nelly. The unnamed series will contain eight hour-long episodes that will focus on the his career, business dealings, raising his children, and his relationship with Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend Shantel Jackson. Nelly will also serve as an executive producer.

Nelly previously made cameos on VH1’s reality show T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle. He was also one of the mentors on the singing competition program The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep on The CW.

BET also ordered a new reality show featuring Keyshia Cole and another series with David and Tamela Mann from Meet the Browns and Tyler Perry’s Madea movies.

“These three shows are led by talent that our audience connects with but are also very different shows,” Charlie Jordan Brookins, BET senior VP original programming, told THR. “We’re excited about these new shows. What BET does is give the audience what they’ve been looking for.”
