The arrival of the cold weather season does not mean that the funkiest label in town has any intention of cooling things down. Over the holiday season, SomeOthaShip will be hitting the road for the SomeOthaShip Connection Tour. The tour will launch November 30th in Portland, OR and making stops in several cities such as Denver, Chicago and Cambridge before crossing international borders into Canada. The complete routing of confirmed shows follows below, with more dates to be announced soon.
Georgia Anne Muldrow’s style of hip hop, jazz, 70’s funk and her earthy voice has earned her an abundance of admirers both nationwide and overseas. Her most recent project oLIGARCHY sUCKS!, has been setting the internet ablaze with unreleased self produced instrumental tracks and her lead vocal single Ciao.
Alongside Georgia Anne Muldrow on tour will be long time musical collaborator and SomeOthaShip Co-Founder, Dudley Perkins AKA Declaime. The pair has consistently invested their time and musical energies into shining a light on some of the industry’s most endeared underground talents, bringing an incomparable endowment of positivity, love and light to the music world.
Bahamadia is well known to the hip hop underground scene as one of the most lyrically profound emcees to ever do it. An early protégé of the late Hip Hop legend Guru (Gangstarr), Bahamadia has collaborated with everybody from The Roots to DJ Premier and Talib Kweli. Her debut album Kollage (via Chrysalis/EMI Records) debuted in the Billboard top 200. Bahamadia’s versatility guarantees fans of the tour an exciting show. The tour will be a precursor to her soon to be released album (TBA) which will drop in early 2015.
