And as an executive, an A&R, a DJ, a label owner and an artist in his own right, very few have penned their own blueprint quite like Mr Thanksgiving, aka DJ Drama. With his hands in many mixes, the man of many hats has been through everything from police raids on his warehouse to rocking stages with TI to corner offices at Atlantic records. And with a new album on the way, the hustle shows no signs of slowing down. Thankfully the God of the Gangsta Grillz took some time out to talk with MrMecc about the artist he’s picked, the beats that are brought in and the process behind creating Quality Street Music.
