Big Sean Talks The Origin Of 'IDFWU', His Relationship With Ariana Grande And His New Album

THE D-TOWN SPITTER STOPPED BY THE BREAKFAST CLUB

Big Sean visited the Breakfast Club and got tripled teamed by Angela Yee, Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy.

Contrary to what the masses thought, Sean says that “IDFWU” was written while he was still with his ex-fiancee Naya Rivera.

“I vividly remember playing it for that person,” said the D-Town native. “It wasn’t no diss song.” He says that after they had their nasty breakup, he went back and tweaked the lyrics a little bit.

The G.O.O.D Music spitter also spoke about how he met his current bae, Ariana Grande.

“I met her a few years ago at Wango Tango. When I met her it was just cool. She was like ‘I like your music’ and she knew “Gang Bang,” she was like rapping “Gang Bang,” he smiled. “She brings out the best in me.”

Sean says that for his next album, which he says is coming soon, listeners can expect it to have a dark aura to it.

“It’s kinda just a time capsule of my whole life in the last year. So you can just imagine all the things I’ve been through. It’s all gon’ make sense when I drop the album, when I drop the title.”

Kanye West, Meek Mill and Chris Brown will be appearing on the album.
