(AllHipHop News) “Only dudes moving units – Em, Pimp Juice, and us,” rapped Jay Z on his 2003 single “Excuse Me Miss.” At the time of that Hov bar, Nelly (Pimp Juice) was one of the biggest selling rap stars in the world. The St Louis representative reflected back on his career in a video segment for Hot 97. Nelly’s “97 Seconds” covered him first meeting the rest of St. Lunatics crew, his entry into the music industry, and how he was able to be successful without help from other big names in the culture.

“I’m probably one of the few rappers that had the type of success that I wasn’t signed by a major rapper. I didn’t get picked up by a major producer. Nobody cosigned Nelly, and we made something happen,” said the “Hot In Herre” performer.
