(AllHipHop News) At one point Death Row Records was the hottest rap label in the game. Then one-by-one artists began to leave the West Coast based company. One of those premier acts that was once part of the Death Row roster is Kurupt.
Tha Dogg Pound emcee sat down with VladTV and revealed a member of TLC showed him how to cut ties from Death Row. According to Kurupt, it was not an easy task to get out of his contract with the label.
“The one who taught me how to leave [Death Row] was Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes,” said Kurupt. “It was Lisa that taught me how I could leave business-wise. If I tell you [how], I gotta kill you.”
Kurupt goes on to add the reason he left Death Row was because he made better business connections in Philadelphia. The Kuruption! album creator also stated his then relationship with rapper Foxy Brown played a role in his decision to break from the Row.
