Funkmaster Flex Releases Second Rant Against Jay Z, "We Not Scared Of You" (AUDIO)

FLEX CALLS OUT HOV FOR TEXT MESSAGE, NOT BEING THE ONLY NYC BOSS & NOT SHOWING LOVE TO J. COLE

(AllHipHop News) DJ Funkmaster Flex was not done with his verbal attack against Jay Z. Over the weekend the Hot 97 radio personality went in on the Brooklyn emcee once again. After his first rant aimed at Jay’s website Life+Times, Flex’s second comments included more direct shots at the Roc Nation boss.

“In 2015, you are a commercial, corporate rapper that drops a little catchphrase every three months,” said Flex. “There’s nothing wrong with that. I think that’s super dope. Don’t talk to me funny in the text, bruh. I don’t work for you.”

The statement connects to a text Jay supposedly sent to Flex that the DJ posted to his Instagram page. The text read “This is HOV.” The caption for the picture alleged that Jay attempted to call Flex from a private number, and after he was unable to get through he sent the text.

Really? After calling private for hours you texting with CAPITAL letters????? This guy thinks it 1997 ???? Tomorrow 7pm I got this???? I see you need a tune up and lesson in respect!!!!!

While Flex’s voice was not as aggressive in the follow-up rant and there were not the signature bomb drops throughout, he still made it clear he has issues with Jay for capitalizing his name in the text. Flex also stated that he is not afraid of the multimillionaire mogul.

“We not scared of you. This radio station doesn’t need you or care. Actually, the whole company doesn’t need you. You can’t call the bosses like you do other things,” Flex added. “Stop having people call me. It’s nonsense. I’m not picking up and I don’t have anything to say cause I don’t wanna talk to you. That’s that.”

Flex then warned Jay if he ever sends a subliminal shot at him on a record the result would be a daily radio assault against the rapper. Flex also said Jay needs to understand that he is not the only boss in New York City.

The audio also featured Flex giving compliments to Jay’s business moves and music, but he addressed supposed “manipulation” at Def Jam as well. He even called out Jay for not congratulating J. Cole’s success with 2014 Forest Hills Drive.

“This my city. You ain’t above me bro,” Flex declares.

Flex also went back to Instagram to dispel rumors that Jay was planning to buy Hot 97. He wrote, “Yeah Right! We good over here! They not buying s**t!”
