Columbus Short Returns To TV In TV One's 'Fear Files' Movie

THE SCANDAL ALUM IS RETURNING TO TV

Ever since Columbus Short had to bow out from Shonda Rimes’ Scandal  series, he’s been keeping quiet to recover from his reported substance and has even been recording music. According to E! News, The former gladiator is ready to take on the small screen again and has been snagged for TV One’s Fear Files horror movie franchise.

Short will be playing a councilman named Harvey Jordan who wants to build a football stadium in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, but the residents of the community are against it. When the main opposing resident to the stadium dies in a fire, all fingers point to Jordan as residents wonder if he plotted the murder himself. As the plot thickens, Jordan tries to enamor a local reporter, played by Erica Hubbard, in efforts to dodge the negative media attention.

“Buoyed by the positive viewer and social media response to the inaugural airing, we are pleased to be able to deliver another installment of this compelling and entertaining series,” Cathy Hughes, Radio One founder and chairperson, said in a statement. “Delving deeper in to the horror genre helps fulfill TV One’s mission of super-serving the Black audience with a wide variety of programming genres to reflect the diversity of content Black viewers crave.”

Tune in to TV One on Mar. 13th at 8 p.m to watch Fear and the rest of the Fear Files trilogy.
