PHILLY POLICE BELIEVE AN ARGUMENT OVER A WOMAN LED TO DEADLY INCIDENT

The 31-year-old suspect is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and simple assault. 29-year-old De’Von Pickett (aka Day Day) was killed during the incident, and Boykin could have a murder charge added on at a later date. The victim injured during the attack was 27-year-old Eric Parker.

Authorities believe the conflict began over a woman at the Che Bar & Grill. A verbal confrontation eventually turned physical, resulting in the two men being stabbed multiple times with a knife.

“Both of the parties both knew a female who worked at the bar, and the arguments centered around her,” said Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark.

The investigation is still ongoing and could result in further arrests or charges.
