As White Plains, NY native Michael Merlot gears up for the release of his 1st solo project, ‘Better Late’ he decides to let go of a loose track to wet your musical pallet like an appetizer. The J Dilla produced track ‘No Hook’ features exactly what the title hints, no hook, straight bars. Not that Michael needs one as his rhythmic flow over the beat delivers more then enough substance to hold your attention through the whole track and leave you wanting more once it’s over. Luckily you won’t have to wait much longer for that as his upcoming tape, ‘Better Late’ will be dropping shortly.
