Chance The Rapper And Alec Baldwin Participate In Non-Violent Youth Poetry Festival

THE LARGEST YOUTH POETRY FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD CELEBRATED 15 YEARS

Chance the Rapper and Alec Baldwin helped the largest youth poetry festival in the world celebrate their 15th anniversary, ABC reports. “Louder Than A Bomb” celebrated Sunday night (Mar. 15) at Chicago’s Black Ensemble Theatre. The festival was founded to unify inner city youth and promote peace through poetry.

“Young people are the same all over the world,” Baldwin told ABC. “They have passions and they have feelings that they’re celebrating and they’re wrestling with.”

Local emcee FM Supreme also took the stage and performed her song “Still Believe,”which is featured in a public service announcement with ABC7 Chicago that encourages non-violence.

“Music brings people together, it’s something that can shift culture,” said Jessica Disu, aka “FM Supreme.” “It’s a way to get the ears of young people who are victims of the crimes and perpetrators of violence.”
