Kendrick Lamar Heads Back To Compton For 'King Kunta' Video Shoot (VIDEO)

WATCH K. DOT FILM THE VISUALS IN FRONT OF THE COMPTON SWAPMEET

Kendrick Lamar went back to his home base of Compton to shoot the video for his next single from To Pimp A Butterfly, “King Kunta.”

K. Dot chose to film the visual at the Compton Fashion Center, aka the Compton swapmeet, and tapped director X to bring the song to life.  In a clip recorded by a fan, the TDE spitter is seen performing on top of the swapmeet’s marquee and then in its parking lot in front of fellow CPT residents crowding around old school low riders.

Compton’s major Aja Brown told TMZ that the swapmeet was recently sold and will be replaced with a retail store, so Kendrick’s video may be the last video shot there.
