Turk Discusses Cash Money/No Limit Beef (Video)

THE HOT BOY TALKS MASTER P, BABY & THE NEW ORLEANS POWERHOUSE LABELS

(AllHipHop News) For years, there have been reports about the supposed tension between New Orleans founded record labels Cash Money and No Limit. Both brands rose to national prominence in the late 1990’s, but there was never a major crossover effort between the Cash Money Billionaires and the No Limit Soldiers.

No Limit captain Master P bridged that longstanding gap when he recruited Cash Money artist Lil Wayne for his “Power” single. Then Turk, formerly of the Cash Money group Hot Boys, also connected with P for his “Wodie” remix. Turk recently spoke with DJ Vlad about finally working with the “Make Em Say Uhh!” rapper.

“I always wanted to work with P, but the powers that be didn’t allow it,” said Turk.

He was asked about the assumed feud between the respective CMB and No Limit rosters. According to Turk, the issues were likely between the companies’ CEOs, not the performers.

“I wouldn’t say the artists didn’t get along. I would say probably P and [Cash Money co-founder] Baby probably had their reasons why we never did anything together,” added Turk. “I don’t know what it was.”

Besides Master P, Turk also states he always wanted to collaborate with C-Murder and Mia X. The YNT Empire leader suggested if the two labels had united at the time of their climb the combination could have been unstoppable.
